Belvedere & Wien Museum  Hans Makart was an Austrian extraordinary historic painter and decorator, his pompous scenographic stile enjoyed great popularity in Viennese upper classes during the so-called “Ringstraßenepoche” (the historical style of the ring road). The former celebrity figure was now released from his recent oblivion, as the Belvedere and Wien Museum dedicated themselves to the allround artist in a joint exhibition, which shows the historic phenomenon Makart through a contemporary focus.
